Impotency
- Impotency occurs when a husband and wife are unable to conceive.
- The cause may be from the husband, wife or both.
Causes of Male Impotency
- Testes do not produce sperm.
- Erectile dysfunction.
- Low-quality or abnormal sperm.
- Hormonal imbalance.
- Low sperm count.
Causes of Female Impotency
- Ovaries do not produce secondary oocytes.
- Blocked Fallopian tubes.
- Abnormal uterus.
- Hormonal imbalance.
- Growth in the uterus.
Treatment for Impotency
- Hormonal imbalance: Hormonal therapy.
- Blocked Fallopian tubes or sperm ducts: Surgery.
- Blocked Fallopian tubes: In vitro fertilisation (IVF).
